My recent trip to Scotland was full on covering several courses all around the East Lothian area.

This is the most outstanding natural piece of golfing real estate with favorites like Muirfield, Gullane and North Berwick being obvious choices.

Other courses that sometimes go under the radar are pearlers like Kilspindle and Longniddry. But perhaps the most surprising aspect for me on this trip was dicovering the Renaissance Golf Club, It shares the same entrance to it’s one of it’s neighbours Archerfield which has 2 outstanding courses.

It’s other Neighbour is Muirfield, where you could literally chip from one course to the other! However the difference in design and topography couldn’t be further apart. Renaissance has a pleasant mix of parkland and Links holes with 3 new links holes coming into play March 2013.

The clubhouse is also going to be ready early next year!
