As official photographer for the St Andrews Links Trust, my brief was to capture as many images as possible of the whole event.

I didn’t have direct access to the players so a different approach was necessary to shoot any action images.

Consequently I didn’t get to see much golf being played but as there was plenty of action going on behind the scenes, I concentrated on that as my main objective.

I’m really enjoying the title of official photographer and am proud to be associated with the Links Trust. I’ve made many good friends in St Andrews, it certainly is the home of golf and my second home. I’m looking forward to the next 4 years working with SAL and possibly the 150th Open which I hope will be back in St Andrews. Hopefully by that time, I’ll get to cover it from a different angle!
