When you get a call from the editor of Golf Monthly personally asking you if you would be interested in a special assignment, you know it’s going to be, well, very special!

50 miles south of Boston in the USA is a place called Acushnet, this is where the Titleist golf ball was invented back in 1932 and is still manufactured here to this day over 80 years later!

Golf Monthly were invited to visit the Acushnet headquarters as part of a 3 day trip to discover the process of how all Titleist balls are made.

To capture the visual content I was lucky to be asked to go along.

The complete journey was a real eye opener as we were allowed to go to places to witness a few secrets and processes that only Acushnet employees get to see!

Golf Monthly have now run the feature in the October mag. It’s a great read full of facts, timelines and stories that have consistently made Titleist the No 1 ball brand in the world.

Now that I know the full story of how the pro v’s are made I’ll always look at that little sphere in a completely different light!
