April has been an interesting month for me, I think it’s the first month for some time that I haven’t been to an airport with all my gear flying off to some great new location taking course images. I’ve spent the time on updating my portfolio and archiving my images into a more practical way of selecting files. And now that Spring is here and the trees are nearly in full bloom it’s time to start on a new project for Marriott which should keep me busy for the next few months. One shoot I did have to work on was an instruction piece based at Stoke Park. I played this course several years ago so was looking forward to going back.

Stoke Park is a great venue and is famous for the James Bond Goldfinger film where the match between Goldfinger took placed.

I didn’t really get a chance to shoot the course properly but there’s a chance of going back there to do some more Instruction.

The other fact that Stoke Park is famous for is it’s 7th hole, The par 3 12th at Augusta is supposed to be modeled on this hole, it certainly is a very pretty hole and we played it off the medal tees which at 158 yards to the pin made it a great challenge, all 4 of us hit the green and I came up closest. but as the pin was at the back on the green my first putt came up 4ft short leaving me a tricky slider to make par. I managed to make it!

I’m looking forward to going back and hopefully get some great images.
