As luck would have it I was in the right place and at right time on my recent trip to Mauna Lani Hawaii Island. Professional Golfer and Social media personality Paige Spiranac was on her Honeymoon with her new Husband Steve Tinoco and staying at the same hotel as me, the Fairmont Orchid.

Director of Golf Scott Christenson told me that both Paige and Steve were playing first light on the South Course at Mauna Lani and asked wouldn’t it be great if we could get a few images of her for social media.

Not expecting to be shooting player images on this trip I was traveling with my smaller lights and didn’t really want to interrupt the newly weds for a full on photo session! So with reflector in hand I made my way out to the stunning 7th hole on the South course a 214 yd par 3 off the tips.

Unbeknown to me both Paige and Steve were producing their own video and by the time they had reached the 7th they had already shot some great content. So when they saw me shooting course images from the back tee they came up said hi and took in the spectacular hole.

They had been briefed that I was around and asked if they had time would it be Ok to get a few portraits and a swing sequence. Happily they agreed and Steve helped me light Paige with the reflector. He’d obviously had done this before as he nailed it for each shot.
