My first project for Footjoy was to shoot their new outerwear collection for 2010. We arranged this around the Irish Open and set up camp at Seapoint Golf course just North of Dublin. The plan was to ferry over our models who werte some of the Titelist tour players from Baltray which is right next door. We had a 5am start and at that time the weather and light was on our side. In fact we were very lucky for the next 6 hours with just a few rain clouds passing over. The results were very good and Matt Swain the head designer has been busy since putting the brochure together. I thought that the project was over but I had another call from Rich Fryer the Titelist marketing manager, asking if I was up for doing a few more shots. This time it would be at The London Club. Again an early start and one which I had to be finished by 10am to make my way to Gatwick to fly back over to Ireland, (this was a trip to Doonbeg, more about this later). The new garments are fantastic which made my job very easy, the light was good for about 30 minutes and then the rain came. But being an outerwear shoot was not so much of a problem. I’m looking forward to seeing the printed brochure which I think will be out in a few months time.
