I’ve been very lucky to have worked with Scotty on 3 occasions but this last trip to Carlsbad, spending several hours with him was by far the best and most productive trip so far.

As part of the Golf Monthly Titleist up coming feature, the GM team had complete access to Scotty’s very discreetly located and exclusive Studio and also his Gallery in Encinitas.

And I think theres a few clues in the names he gives his work place and also his off site fitting and apparel centre that we can get a good idea about what makes Scotty Tick.

It’s all about art!

The intrinsic detail combined with the aesthetics, creativeness and also the functionality of everything he designs and produces, sets him apart from any other Golf designer.

Because of my art background I was fascinated to hear the explanations given to every product that the Scotty Cameron brand produces under the Titleist umbrella.

And it’s not just putters and head covers, there is a complete range of other golf related product that you can sometimes buy online or if not in his Gallery.

Each individual item is produced by Scotty and a team of experts with the TLC and eye for detail that you would expect from association with the Titleist name. And there is always a reason for the way the products end up looking, functionality meeting design in a marriage of true bliss and happiness that would never need counselling!

We had an extremely interesting and memorable time with Scotty and the highlight for me was sitting in the back of his classic Chevrolet Chevelle, cruising around the coastline of California windswept and taking pics at the same time.

The feature will be coming up soon in GM, I’m really looking forward to reading it, it’s one of the coolest projects I’ve worked on to date.
