Having shot both the Titleist Ball plant and also the FootJoy head offices in the States, the Golf Monthly team were invited over to spend some time at the Titleist head offices in Carlsbad on the West Coast of the USA.

I was already in the States on a commission shooting the amazing Half Moon Bay Resort just South of San Francisco, so I jumped on a plane and met up with the team in LA and then drove down the I5 to one of my favourite locations.

Carlsbad is where most of the USA major brands in Golf have their head quarters. It’s only 30 minutes away from San Diego and 10 minutes away from Encinitas one of the coolest towns on the planet. It’s an area that I could very easily see myself spending some more R&R time.

The Titleist story is a fascinating insight into their constant drive to produce the very best products in golf for their ardent fans and customers.

This trip was to show the GM readers a behind the scene documentary into all aspects of the development of how the Brand works, it’s core values and how that materialises into all of it’s range of products.

We had access to all of the top team members including Bob Vokey and Scotty Cameron. It was a real insight into finding out why the Tileist brand is one of the most liked, consistent and reliable brands in the industry.
